London 2012_pinsOctober 24 - The countdown has begun, as in one week the winner of the My Favourite Pin Story competition will be unveiled – claiming £800 ($1,300/€990) worth of official limited edition London 2012 pins.

Over the past 12 weeks London has not only witnessed the world's greatest sporting event, but staged some of the most impressive and sentimental pin trades among London 2012's spectators, athletes and officials.

Swaps from United States Paralympian John Register, trades featuring the three Princesses of the Netherlands, bargaining sessions with tennis legend Venus Williams, various successful pin exchanges in Hyde Park's Coca-Cola Pin Trading Centre, and the joy of 205 students receiving pins from 184 National Olympic Committee's, are just some of the strong story contenders in the running.

But there can only be one winner.

One lucky candidate will be adding British Birds, British Flowers, Olympic and Paralympic Pictograms, Teapots, West End Theatre, British Countryside, and a Wenlock and Mandeville set, as well as our very own limited edition insidethegames full set puzzle pin, to their collection.

The prizes do not end there as second and third place also hold hugely popular pins.

For pinheads this is the final chance to stake your claim, whether you are a newbie or a long serving pinhead, we want to hear your story.
