British wheelchair_basketball_logoNovember 3 - Britain's wheelchair basketball teams will both be looking for new coaches after Murray Treseder and Garry Peel quit following London 2012.

Peel has left his role with the women's team after seven years, joining Treseder who stepped down last month following the defeat of the men's team in the bronze medal play-off at the Paralympics.

The women's team were bronze medallists at the European Championships in 2007, 2009 and 2011.

But the team finished a disappointing seventh in London.

Treseder took over the men's team in 2007 and guided them to bronze at the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing and to European Championship success last year.

They reached the last four in London but were beaten by Canada in the semi-finals before the United States proved too strong winning 61-46 in the bronze-medal match.

Treseder will now return to his native Australia.

Paul Hudson, chairman of the National Team Advisory Group for British Wheelchair Basketball, thanked both Peel and Murray for their service and devotion to the programme and wished them every success in the future.
