Alan Fonteles Oliveira at IPC Grand Prix in Berlin June 2013June 19 - The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletics World Championships will be streamed live online allowing spectators the world over to watch the action as it happens in Lyon in a month's time.

Paralympic champions and legendary rivalries from the some 1,300 athletes competing at the nine-day event at the Stade du Rhone are among the must watch coverage that will be available on the IPC's YouTube channel.

Among those rivalries will be that between American T44 100 metres sprinter Richard Browne and Britain's Jonnie Peacock, which heated up recently when Browne spoke of his ambition to silence London 2012 gold medallist Peacock after the champion publicly dismissed the silver medallist's world-record equalling time on Twitter.

It was Jerome Singleton and Jarryd Wallace, however, who came in first and second at the United States Paralympics track and field trials, after Browne pulled up with an old injury.

Meanwhile, last weekend's IPC Athletics Grand Prix in Berlin saw two world records fall as Brazilian Paralympic champion Alan Fonteles Oliveira (pictured top) posted a 10.77sec run in the 100m T43 and the Netherlands' Marlou van Rhijn, also a London 2012 gold medallist, shattered her own 100m T43 world record by 0.31 to become the fastest female on blades of all-time.

However, France's Marie-Amélie Le Fur, who beat Van Rhijn at London 2012 in the T44 100m, will be looking to spoil the Dutch runner's party in front of her home crowd.

On the field, London 2012 gold medallist Kelly Cartwright of Australia recently returned from injury at the Great City Games in Manchester, posting a mark of 3.84m in the F42/44 long jump to qualify for the national team for Lyon.

Cartwright will also face Le Fur in that event, where they picked up gold and bronze, respectively, at the Paralympics.

"I'm really excited that the event will be shown on YouTube," Le Fur, who also has a further three Paralympic silver medals to her name, said.

"It's important for the growth of the Paralympic Movement that as many people as possible can watch the action. It helps raise awareness."

At the last World Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2011, China topped the table with 58 medals, of which 21 were gold, 22 silvers and 15 bronze, ahead of Russia with 18 golds and Brazil with 10.

Jeremy Nicholas, the voice behind the athletics competitions at London 2012 - as well as the voice of EA Sports' FIFA 2006-2013 video games, will commentate on the IPC's live stream and be joined by Will Downing - Setanta's commentator for swimming and athletics at London - behind the microphone.

A number of countries will air the IPC World Championships live on television, including host broadcaster France Television, Channel 4 in Britain and SporTV in Brazil.
