The biannual Championships, due to be held over six days beginning on December 1 at the White Oaks Conference Resort and Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake, will feature the top female players on the planet representing 20 nations encompassing every continent.

Leading the way will be defending champions Egypt - who will be seeking to repeat their victory at the 2012 event in France - as well as the likes of Malaysia, England and Australia, with the competition consisting of group stages followed by knockout rounds.

The Championships will also serve as the Official Test Event for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games to be held in the same venue next year.

Among the 31 players depicted on the logo are Malaysia's world number one Nicol David, England's new world champion Laura Massaro, and Egyptian Raneem El Welily, all of who are expected to be participating.

"The Women's World Team Squash Championship logo symbolises national pride and illustrates female competitive excellence, which is the essence of the World Team Championship," said the executive director of Squash Canada Danny Da Costa

Similar sentiments were expressed by World Squash Federation chief executive Andrew Shelley when he outlined the significance of the logo in setting the stage for the event.

"Championship logos are necessary, but can be very creative too - and this one is," he said.

"These Canadian-hosted Championships are going to raise the bar in many elements, and their event identity has just provided another example of the vitality and innovation that Squash Canada are bringing to the table."
