Fajer Jassim Hassan has been appointed director of International Affairs at the BOC ©BOCFajer Jassim Hassan has been appointed director of International Affairs at the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).

The decision, the 11th of what is turning out to be a hectic 2014, was issued by BOC acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar during the third meeting of the organisation's Board in the capital Manama.

Hassan has stepped down from her post as acting director of corporate communication to take on this new role.

Her appointment has been back-dated to May 7, 2014.

This announcement follows the approval of the BOC's constitution after amendments from the International Olympic Committee.

It was also one of the first decision's to be issued by Askar after it was agreed he would continue in his role as general secretary for another 12 months.
