Paralympics New Zealand is currently recruiting a new classification manager ©PNZParalympics New Zealand (PNZ) is on the search for a new classification manager to help lead the organisation's classification strategy.

The new role enables the successful applicant to help shape the future growth of Paralympic Sport in New Zealand as they immerse themselves as an integral part of the PNZ team.

The role's key responsibilities will revolve around the leadership of the PNZ classification programme, including adherence to the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) classification code, provision of Para-athlete classification services, leadership of classifier training and support; maintaining up to date athlete classification and classifier databases.

It also includes provision of up to date education resources and online tools to educate New Zealanders on classification.

Applicants are required to demonstrate relevant experience across the core functional areas of responsibility, alongside a number of other key attributes and skills including, a tertiary qualification in sport or medical, excellent communication and presentation skills, and great leadership skills.

PNZ has urged anyone interesting in the role to send applications to the organisation's chief executive, Fiona Allan, by November 7.
