Papua New Guinean-owned small to medium companies have been encouraged to submit proposals as the country gets ready to host the Games for the third time.

The successful company would also help with information and promotional services on behalf of Port Moresby 2015, with tickets due to go on sale in the first quarter of this year.

Port Moresby ticketing manager William Senior is hoping they can implement an effective strategy to ensure the general public get the best value for money, and that there is a strong point of sale presence throughout to further customer satisfaction.

"Port Moresbuy 2015 and its sales partners have an enormous challenge ahead of us, but we will rise to this challenge," he said. 

"Rest assured that we will be committing no less than our absolute utmost efforts to deliver the very best we can for the people of Papua New Guinea and all participants and spectators of the 2015 Pacific Games.

"Ticketing will be a significant portion of the measure of success of the Games in terms of stakeholder satisfaction, public perception and the Games legacy.

"It is very important that we do it well, and are remembered well for it."

The main mission of the Games ticketing department is to ensure as many spectators as possible get to witness what promises to be one of the largest events of its kind to be held in Papua New Guinea.

A total of 21 nations are due to compete across 28 different sports at the 2015 Games, with more than 3,000 athletes expected to take part in event where a number of places for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro will be available. 

The Pacific Games are scheduled from July 4 until 18, and interested organisations can visit the 2015 Games website for more information.
