Skate Canada have signed a two-year agreement with Bloomex, which will see the company become their official florist.

Bloomex, who are the largest florists in Canada, have already collaborated with the governing body at several events so far this year and the agreement is seen as an extension of their existing relationship.

“This is a great example of a partnership that supports Skate Canada’s various constituents, from high performance to the grassroots community,” said Dan Thompson, chief executive of Skate Canada.

“Bloomex’s nationwide reach ensures us reliability, quality and consistency at all of our events and to our membership.”

As part of the partnership Bloomex are set to supply podium and judge’s bouquets, floral arrangements, centrepieces, corsages and gift baskets at all Skate Canada events over the next two years, including both the Skate Canada International and Canadian Tire National Skating Championships.

All Skate Canada members, clubs and schools are also due to benefit from the agreement as Bloomex will offer them a 20 per cent discount on items, while as part of fundraising drives they are set to offer teddy bears and flowers at reduced prices.
