The International Luge Federation (FIL) have confirmed Winterberg, Park City and Sigulda as the hosts of the Sprint World Cups in the forthcoming season.

Winterberg will host the opening Sprint World Cup event of the season, with the German track due to host competition between November 26 and 27.

The following month competition will take place in the United States when Park City hosts from December 16 to 17, before the Latvian town of Sigulda stages the next Sprint World Cup on January 14 and 15.

Team Relay World Cup competition will begin in Lake Placid on December 2 and 3, with an event taking place in Whistler the following weekend.

Germany will host the next two events with Königssee holding competition from January 5 to 6, before Oberhof welcomes the world’s top sliders from February 4 and 5.

The Alpensia Sliding Centre, which will stage luge competition at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games, will be the next stop on the circuit.

The track, which will welcome a World Cup event for the first time, is due to host racing from February 18 to 19.

Altenberg, in Germany, will be the home of the season finale the following weekend.

The Luge World Championships are due to take place in Innsbruck from January 27 to 29.
