Tickets have gone on sale for the 2017 Hockey World League semi-final in London, where England’s men will play host to the world’s best sides.

The event, due to take place from June 15 to 25, will be held at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford.

A total of 33 matches are scheduled as teams battle it out for World Cup qualification in what will be the biggest hockey event of the year in England.

Tickets are priced from just £2.50 ($3.30/€3) for children and £10 ($13/€12) for adults.

England’s opponents are set to be confirmed following the completion of the Olympic hockey tournament in Rio de Janeiro.

"We are honoured to have been asked by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) to host the men’s Hockey World League semi-final in 2017, and I am sure it will be another landmark event in London," Sally Munday, chief executive of England Hockey, said.

"Having very successfully hosted the women’s EuroHockey Championships in 2015 and both men’s and women’s Hockey Champions Trophies in 2016, we will not rest on our laurels and plans are already well underway to make this event bigger and better."

"With Hockey World Cup qualification on the line, it will be all to play for.

"With affordable tickets and even more fun and exciting entertainment and activities planned for 2017, don’t miss out on what will be one of the best international hockey events of the year."

Composed of four rounds and played over two years, the Hockey World League shines a spotlight on the sport around the world.

World number one-ranked Australia were crowned 2015 Hockey World League champions after securing a 2-1 victory over Belgium in the gold medal match in Indian city Raipur.
