Czech Republic’s Ester Ledecká will look to repeat her success at last year’s International Ski Federation (FIS) Parallel Snowboard World Cup in Rogla when the event returns to Slovenia tomorrow.

The world champion triumphed at the destination en route to victory in the overall classification during the 2016 World Cup season.

She currently lies second in the parallel giant slalom standings heading into the event, as well as leading the parallel snowboard World Cup.

Ina Meschik currently is currently above her in the parallel giant slalom, with the Austrian seeking to put further distance between her and her rival.

Qualification is scheduled to begin tomorrow, with the event concluding on the same day.

The men’s and women’s competitions are both expected to feature 50 snowboarders.

Benjamin Karl is expected to headline the men’s competition, with the Austrian currently occupying first place in the men’s World Cup standings.

He is followed by Andrey Sobolev of Russia and Bulgaria’s Radoslav Yankov, who lie second and third.

Sobolev will be returning to a venue which will provide positive memories, having won last year’s event in Rogla.
