Austria's Alessandro Haemmerle moved into a share of the overall International Ski Federation Snowboard Cross World Cup series lead after victory in today's leg in Bansko.

The 2012 junior world champion won the Big Final in the Bulgarian resort after powering clear of Frenchman Pierre Vaultier.

Canadian Baptiste Brochu finished third.

Australia's Alex Pullin, Italy's Omar Visintin and United States' qualification leader Hagen Kearney occupied the next three places in the six-man final.

Haemmerle now lies on 2,050 World Cup points to put him level with Visintin.

Kearney moves down to third on 1,690.

There was Australian success in the corresponding women's final as Belle Brockhoff claimed both the victory and the World Cup lead,

The 24-year-old beat Czech Republic's Olympic champion Eva Samková.

Chloe Trespeuch ensured another French medal by finished third.

Brockhoff now lies on 2,400 World Cup points.

Samková is now 150 behind in second while Trespeuch occupies third place with 1,900.

The next World Cup leg is due to begin in Feldberg, Germany on Friday (February 10).
