Sweden’s Emil Martinsson claimed the men’s 50 metres running target mixed event title as action concluded today at the European Shooting Championships in Baku.

Martinsson, the runner-up in yesterday’s men’s 50m running target event, registered a winning total of 395 points at the Olympic Shooting Range in Azerbaijan’s capital city.

Russia’s Mikhail Azarenko was the silver medallist with 392 points, while Finland’s Topi Hulkkonen took bronze with 390.

Azarenko was part of the Russian trio that won the team competition with a score of 1,169.

Maxim Stepanov and Dmitry Romanov completed the line-up.

Sweden came second with 1,167, followed by Finland with 1,161.

In the men’s junior 50m running target mixed event, Ukraine’s Ihor Kizyma came out on top with 387.

Sweden’s Andreas Bergstroem finished second with 379, while Valerii Davydov beat Iaroslav Klepikov in an all-Russian shoot-off to secure third place.

Both Davydov and Klepikov ended up on a total of 378 with the former winning the shoot-off 20-19.

The two-nation team event saw Ukraine prevail with 1,134, beating Russia by a margin of 15.

Kizyma was joined on the winning side by Roman Tovstopiat and Maksym Babushok.
