American Andre Shelby is the men's compound Paralympic champion while China will be hoping their home archer Zhou Jiamin can add to her women's compound title from Brazil.

In the W1 recurve Britain's John Walker appears to be the man to beat with his team-mate Jessica Stretton looking to add the global title to Rio gold in the women's W1 compound.

Stretton, who is only 17, broke four world records in July at the British Junior Championships.

Qualification and the opening rounds of competition will take place tomorrow.

The Championships will run until September 17.
