The two South Korean players battled through their respective semi-finals in three games at the Dongchun Gymnasium to book an all-home final.

Kim moved a step closer to a successful title defence as he beat Malaysia's Madzlan Saibon 21-17, 18-21, 21-12.

Kyung was expected to be his team-mate's main challenger for the world title and justified his pre-event billing by booking his place in tomorrow's final.

The South Korean edged past second seed Chan Ho Yuen of Hong Kong 21-11, 12-21, 21-18.

In the women's SL 4 classification, German top seed Katrin Seibert crashed out at the quarter-final stage after she suffered a shock defeat to Indonesia's Khalimatus Sadiyah Sukohandoko.

The Indonesian player stunned the German by claiming a 21-18, 22-20 triumph.

Sukohandoko was not able to build on her performance, however, as she was beaten 21-14, 21-9 by compatriot Leani Ratri Oktila.

Oktila will take on China's Chang Hefang in the final after she overcame team-mate Ma Huihui 21-13, 21-11.

Lee Sam-seop, the top seed and reigning champion in the men's WH 1 event, was also made to work hard for his place in the final as he needed three games to oust fellow South Korean Lee Dong-seop 21-15, 17-21, 21-18.

His opponent in the final will be China's Qui Zimo, who impressively dispatched second seed Thomas Wandschneider of Germany 21-18, 21-9.

The tournament in the South Korean city is due to conclude with finals across all 22 medal events tomorrow.
