Norway’s Tiril Sjastad Christiansen finished top of the women’s qualification standings at the International Ski Federation Slopestyle World Cup in Font Romeu in France today. 

The 22-year-old scored a total of 82.20 points to beat nearest challenger Jennie-Lee Burmansson of Sweden by a slender margin of just 1.20 points.

France’s Tess Ledeux was a further 0.80 points back in third.

Also qualifying for tomorrow’s final were Canada’s Elena Gaskell, Russia’s Anastasia Tatalina and Germany’s Kea Kuehnel after they finished fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

Heats three and four of men’s qualification were also held today having been postponed due to delays caused by bad weather yesterday.

Switzerland’s Colin Wili won heat three with 85.66 points, while Sweden’s Emil Granbom finished second with 80.66 and Great Britain’s Tyler Harding came third with 79.66.

In heat four, Norway’s Ferdinand Dahl came out on top with 94.33 points.

New Zealand’s Finn Bilous finished second with 92.00 points and Switzerland’s Elias Ambuehl came third with 90.33.

Yesterday saw Norway’s Oystein Braaten and Sweden’s Oscar Wester won heats one and two respectively.

Both the men’s and women’s finals are scheduled to take place tomorrow.
