Spain will meet Sweden in the final of the European Men's Handball Championships after both came through their last four clashes in Croatia today.

Ferrán Solé scored seven goals for the Spaniards as they knocked out world champions France 27-23 at the Arena Zagreb.

Sweden's progression was much tighter as they edged Rio 2016 Olympic champions Denmark 35-34 at the same venue.

The final will be played on Sunday (January 28).

Elsewhere, hosts Croatia ended their tournament with a flourish as they pipped Czech Republic 28-27 to finish fifth.

At the Asian Men's Championship in South Korea, the final line-up was also decided with back-to-back champions Qatar set to face Bahrain.

The Qataris defeated the host nation 32-21 at the Suwon Gymnasium.

Bahrain got past Saudi Arabia 24-22, with the final also taking place on Sunday.

The final at the Men's African Championships will take place in Gabon's capital Libreville tomorrow.

Egypt will square off with Tunisia.
