Australia's Para-snowboarder Joany Badenhorst has signed a sponsorship deal with sunglasses and goggles company Bolle.

The arrangement comes as she prepares to compete at next month's Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang.

Badenhorst, who is currently the world number one in the snowboard cross LL-2 category, becomes the first Para-athlete to earn a deal with Bolle.

"I'm so incredibly grateful and excited to have Bolle backing me on this journey," she said.

Disability Wintersport Australia has recently confirmed Badenhorst, a triple World Championship medallist, as an ambassador.

She is the co-captain of the Australian team for the Paralympics in South Korea.

Injury struck at the Sochi 2014 Paralympics but she has won the overall and banked slalom World Cup titles this season.

Born in South Africa, 23-year-old Badenhorst lost her leg aged 10 due to a freak farm accident.
