The latest tranche of events to be awarded by the European Canoe Association has named Ivrea in Italy as hosts of the 2021 Canoe Slalom European Championships.

The ECA Board of Directors announced five awards at their meeting in the headquarters of the Spanish Olympic Committee in Madrid, where they broadly considered the future of European Canoeing.

The 2021 Canoe Sprint and Paracanoeing European Championships will be held in Duisburg in Germany.

In the same year, the Canoe Sprint Juniors and Under-23 European Championships will take place in Poznan in Poland and another Polish venue, Kraków, will host the Canoe Slalom Juniors and Under-23 European Championships.

Closer at hand, Kobarid, in Slovenia, will host the 2019 Wildwater Canoeing European Championships.

The next ECA Congress is scheduled for 2019 and the organisation of the event was awarded to the Serbian capital of Belgrade.
