Hosts Poland booked their place in the final of the Blind Football Euro Challenge Cup with a comfortable victory over Belarus in Kraków today.

Ireland also reached the final as they beat Hungary on penalties after the match ended 0-0.

Robert Mkrtchyan was again the star of the show for Poland as he scored twice in a 4-1 win.

Martin Jung also bagged a brace in a comfortable triumph for the home side.

Kavaliou netted a consoltation for Belarus, who are making their first appearance at a major blind football event since 2009.

Hungary will play Belarus in the third place play-off.

The tournament is backed by UEFA, the governing body for football in Europe.

The event is held every two years and is aimed at developing the sport across the continent.

The first Euro Challenge Cup was held in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2014, with victory going to Belgium.

The second was staged in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2016, with Romania emerging victorious.
