Chinese divers dominated today's women's events in Calgary ©FINA

Chinese divers led both semi-finals of the women’s 10m open platform event at the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Diving Grand Prix at the Repsol Sports Centre in Calgary.

In the first semi-final Yanxin Zhu came out on top with 345.10 points.

Caeli McKay of host country Canada was some way behind in second on 306.15 points with Australia's Anna Rose Keating in third on 300.95.

The second semi-final saw Wei Lu emerge triumphant with a total of 349.75 points.

Britons Lois Toulson and Robyn Birch completed the top three with scores of 337.00 and 282.50 respectively.

Today also saw the semi-final of the men's 3m springboard take place.

Two-time Asian Games bronze medallist Ken Terauchi of Japan came out on top in the first semi-final thanks to a score of 449.40.

The 37-year-old was a considerable distance ahead of Francois Imbeau-Dulac of host nation Canada, who scored 424.55 points.

Australia's James Connor was third with 399.60.

Britain's Jack Haslam caused a shock in the other semi-final by beating China's world champion Jianfeng Peng.

Haslam scored 422.95 whilst Peng scored 413.15 with Philippe Gagne of Canada finishing third on 401.95.

The event continues tomorrow.
