Madrid is set to host its first-ever International Federation of Fitness and Bodybuilding (IFBB) Diamond Cup this weekend with more than 250 athletes from 30 national federations pre-registered.

The two-day Elite Pro Qualifier event, which is scheduled to take place at Antonio Machado College in Spain’s capital, will have implications for the 2018 world rankings.

Taking centre stage on the first day of competition will be the semi-finals and finals in five categories; men's physique, bodyfitness, classic bodybuilding, wellness and women’s physique.

Action on Sunday (May 27) will see semi-finals and finals held in a further eight categories; junior bikini, master bikini, junior men’s physique, master bodyfitness, master bodybuilding, bikini, bodybuilding and muscular men’s physique.

It was followed by a judges’ meeting at the same venue.

The Diamond Cup is organised by the Spanish Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and Madrid Bodybuilding Association.

It will be streamed live on IFBBTV.
