USA Taekwondo are looking to make a key appointment to work with the country's Para-athletes.

The organisation are aiming to employ an assistant Para-sparring national team coach.

Whoever lands the role will assist head coach Jason Poos at the Para Pan American Championships.

The United States will host the event in Spokane in Washington on July 13.

The new coach will also work with the country's team at future events on the calendar.

An applicant in "good standing" with USA Taekwondo will be selected by the governing body.

As well as working with the athletes they will be tasked with helping to grow Para-taekwondo across the US.

It comes with the sport preparing for its debut at the Paralympic Games at Tokyo 2020.

"The successful candidate will possess the experience and knowledge of sport taekwondo to help our athletes reach the podium at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games and in other upcoming international World Taekwondo competitions," a USA Taekwondo statement said.
