Topping the money list is Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn, winner of the the US Women's Open earlier this month to take the ninth LPGA title of her career.

Also playing in a tournament that is the third of five major championships on the 2018 LPGA Tour is the world number one and three-time Women's PGA Championship winner, South Korea's Inbee Park.

America's Danielle Kang, the defending champion, is also on the start list.

It is the strongest and deepest field in women's golf, it is claimed.

Jutanugarn will make her fourth appearance at the tournament, with her best performance coming in 2016 when she finished third. 

The 29-year-old Park won the title three years in a row from 2013 to 2015.

Park is joined in the field by nine other past champions, including Britain's Laura Davies, the winner in 1994 and 1996, Canada's Brooke Henderson, who lifted the title in 2016, and the United States' Cristie Kerr, who took the crown in 2010.

Kang meanwhile became the first American to lift the trophy since Kerr in 2010 when she won at Olympia Fields 12 month sago by one shot. 

In claiming that tournament, she also became the first woman since 1991 to win with a birdie on the final hole. 

Prize money of $3.65 million (£2,77 million/€3.14 million) is up for grabs, one of the biggest pots in women's golf. 

Between them the 29 major champions in the field have won 62 major titles.

This is the first time Kemper Lakes has ever hosted the competition but course staged the men's PGA Championship in 1989.
