Alihasan Amirili of Azerbaijan defended his United World Wrestling Cadet World Championship title on day two of competition in Zagreb.

He defeated American Richard Figueroa in the 48 kilograms final at Dom Sportova, 6-1.

Giorgi Gegelashvili of Georgia and Russia's Valerii Androsov shared bronze.

Another defending champion did not manage to retain his crown as American Daniel Kerkvliet Jr lost at 110kg, 7-4 to Iran's Amir Zare.

Bronze medals went to Russian Sergei Kozyrev and Bulgaria's Stoyan Yordanov.

A second gold went to Azerbaijan as Turan Bayramov won at 65kg against Russia's Inalbek Sheriev.

Mohammad Baghi Karimiseifabad of Iran and Bekzat Zhalgassov of Kazakhstan won bronze.

Russia and Uzbekistan won the other two gold medals on offer on day two.

At 55kg, Uzbekistan's Jamshidbek Marufov beat Japan's Hayato Fujita for gold.

Italian Simone Piroddu and Azerbaijan's Abulfaz Nasirov clinched bronze.

Russia's winner was Dmitrii Elkanov at 80kg, as he defeated Mohammadreza Ezatollah Ghiyasi.

Hungary's Milan Korcsog and Abe Assad of the United States won bronze.
