Italy’s Alberto Corradi will meet defending champion David Wagner in the quad singles semi-finals at the Swiss Open after beating third seed Antony Cotterill in Geneva today.

The world number 10 levelled his career head-to-head against Cotterill at three matches apiece by following up his 2015 first-round win over the Briton at the International Tennis Federation 1 Series tournament with a 6-4, 6-3 victory.

He will now meet world number one and top seed Wagner after the American extended his winning streak in Geneva to 24 singles matches with a comfortable 6-0, 6-1 win over France’s Sebastien Jance at the Centre Sportif du Bois-des-Frères.

Unbeaten at the Swiss Open since 2011, Wagner is bidding for an eighth successive title.

Wagner is joined in the semi-finals by fourth-seeded compatriot Greg Hasterok, who defeated France’s Sophie Fraioli 6-2, 6-3 in the last eight.

Hasterok next faces Brazilian second seed Ymanitu Silva, who overcame Chinese Taipei’s Chu-Yin Huang 6-0, 6-1.

Today's stand-out result in the second round of the women's singles event was Japan’s Momoko Ohtani's 6-2, 6-1 win over sixth seed Charlotte Famin of France.

The world number 18 now faces a quarter-final clash with Dutch third seed Michaela Spaanstra, who beat France's Emmanuelle Morch 6-2, 6-2.

Aside from Famin’s defeat by Ohtani, there were straight-sets wins for all seven remaining women’s singles seeds.

Second seed Kgothatso Montjane of South Africa opened her Swiss Open title defence in fine form, racing to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Switzerland’s Gabriela Buehler.

Her next opponent is Japan's Manami Tanaka, a 6-1, 6-1 victor against compatriot Saki Takamuro.

Top seed Lucy Shuker of Great Britain faces an intriguing quarter-final match-up against Thailand's Sakhorn Khanthasit.

Shuker defeated Russia's Viktoriia Lvova 6-1, 6-4, while Khanthasit overcame compatriot Chanungarn Techamaneewat 6-0, 6-3.

Fourth seed Dana Mathewson of the United States and seventh seed Angelica Bernal of Colombia will meet in the other quarter-final after contributing to the end of the Swiss challenge with their respective victories over Nalani Buob - 6-0, 7-5 - and Karin Suter-Erath - 6-2, 6-1.

There were no fewer than five 6-0, 6-0 wins among the men's singles second-round matches as all eight seeded players booked quarter-final berths with ease.

Just one quarter-finalist in the top half of the men’s draw dropped a game with Thailand’s Suthi Khlongrua still securing a commanding 6-1, 6-0 win over fellow countryman Banjob Suwan.

Khlongrua now goes up against top seed Joachim Gerard, who registered a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Switzerland's Herbert Keller.

An all-Belgian semi-final a distinct possibility as fifth seed Jef Vandorpe of Belgium takes on fourth seed Tom Egberink of The Netherlands in the last eight.

Both Vandorpe and Egberink triumphed 6-0, 6-0, at the expense of France's Pascal Chessel and Guillaume Legendre respectively.

Third seed Nicolas Peifer of France goes into the quarter-finals as the only player to have claimed back-to-back 6-0, 6-0 wins so far.

After beating Thailand's Sunthorn Sridang and Italy's Luca Arca, the world number nine faces a second Italian opponent next in the form of eighth seed Ivan Tratter - a 6-0, 6-1 winner over France's Guilhem Laget.

Second seed Takashi Sanada of Japan, meanwhile, plays Russian sixth seed Leonid Shevchik for a place in the semi-finals after both ended the ambitions of Swiss opponents.

Sanada beat Raphael Gremion 6-0, 6-0, while Shevchik defeated Frederic Decorvet 6-1, 6-1.
