Britain's Antony Cotterill and David Wagner of the United States clinched their second career title together as they won the quad doubles crown at the Swiss Open in Geneva.

Cotterill and Wagner proved too strong for American Greg Hasterok and Brazilian Ymanitu Silva with a 6-3, 7-6 win at the Centre Sportif du Bois-des-Frères.

Silva will have the opportunity to bounce back from the doubles defeat when he is due to play Wagner in the singles final tomorrow.

Frenchman Nicolas Peifer beat defending champion Takashi Sanada of Japan to reach the men's singles final.

Peifer, Paralympic doubles gold medallist at Rio 2016, fought back from a set down to claim a 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory.

His opponent in the final will be Belgium's Joachim Gerard, who overcame compatriot and 16-year-old junior masters champion Jef Vandorpe 6-2, 6-2.

The match will give Peifer the chance to avenge his defeat to Gerard at the recent Open de L’ile de Re tournament.

In the women's singles event, defending champion Kgothatso Montjane of South Africa progressed to the final by defeating Dutchwoman Michaela Spaanstra 6-3, 6-3.

Lucy Shuker stands in the way of the world number eight retaining her Swiss Open title as the British player beat Dana Mathewson of the United States 6-3, 7-6.

The tournament in Geneva is due to continue tomorrow.
