Fifty metre finals took centre stage on day three of competition at the World Underwater Federation World Finswimming Championships in Belgrade.

The women's 50m surface event featured a Colombian 1-2 as Joya Aguirre won in 17.52sec at the Milan Gale Muskatirovic venue in the Serbian capital.

Her compatriot Grace Castillo Fernandez was second in 17.84 and Gain Kim of South Korea was third in 18.00.

Greece won the equivalent men's event thanks to Loukas Karetzopoulos in 15.54.

Aleksey Kazantsev of Russia was second in 15.77 and third went to another Russian, Pavel Kabanov, in 15.85.

The men's bi-fin 50m brought another Greek gold as Christos Bonias touched first in 18.85.

Russia's Alexsey Fedkin was timed at 19.05 for silver and bronze went to Ukraine's Danylo Kolodiazhnyi in 19.33.

Petra Senanszky won the women's 50m bi-fin title for Hungary, clocking 21.13.

Silver went to Min Ji-choi of South Korea, in 21.89, and bronze to Russia's Valeriia Bodnia of Russia in 21.93.

Russia enjoyed two golds in surface relays, winning both the men's and women's 4x200m events.
