Reigning champions United States will face Czech Republic in the women's final of the Inline Hockey World Championships in Italy after both nations successfully came through their last-four ties today.

The first of the two semi-finals held at the Hodegart Arena in Asiago saw the US beat Spain 3-1 in a repeat of last year's final.

Later in the evening, Czech Republic defeated Canada 3-0.

The final is due to take place on Saturday (July 21) following a rest day tomorrow.

It will be preceded by the bronze medal game between Spain and Canada.

Having suffered the disappointment of elimination, Canada will be hoping to emulate their third-place finish from 2017.

The senior men’s event is scheduled to begin on Sunday (July 22).

France will looking to defend their title in that competition.
