Russia’s total domination of the International Swimming Federation’s (FINA) World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships continued today as the country picking up their fifth gold of the competition in Budapest.

Russia have now won all five of the gold medals up for grabs so far at the Duna Arena, after taking the top prize in the women’s team technical final this evening with a tally of 92.7347.

As was also the case in both the women’s solo events Ukraine took the silver, with a score of 90.3331, while Japan claimed the bronze with a score of 89.0176.

The result from this evening means Russia remain on course to win every gold medal on offer, which would be a repeat of their feat from the previous World Championships, though last time out no mixed duet events were contested.

Tomorrow will see the Russians go for gold yet again, in the mixed duet technical and women’s team free events.
