Germany’s Nina Reichenbach eased into the final of the women’s International Cycling Union (UCI) Trials World Cup event in Antwerp.

The German cyclist headed to Belgium top of the overall series standings, following two World Cup wins.

The world champion’s pursuit of a third straight triumph continued as she topped the standings in the semi-final stage of the competition.

A score of 15 from her two laps proved the lowest of the competition in Grote Markt.

France’s Manon Basseville was one point behind, while the top three was completed by Sweden’s Nadine Kamark on 19 points overall.

Spain’s Abla Hidalgo, Belgium’s Perrine Devahive and Germany’s Larena Hees clinched the three remaining places in tomorrow’s final.

Germany’s Andreas Strasser and France’s Nathan Charra were among the winners in the quarter-final stage of the men’s 26 inches category.

Belgium’s Kenny Belaey and Spain’s Abel Mustieles were also able to win their quarter-final heats to reach the next round.

Competition will conclude tomorrow.
