Athletes attended registration and weigh-ins today in preparation for the competition this weekend where they will have a chance to compete for IFBB elite world rankings points.

There will be nine categories in the men's bodybuilding event, which will start from up-to and including 65 kilograms and then progressing on to the 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, 95kg, 100kg and the over-100kg categories.

In the men's classic bodybuilding event there will be five categories, where athletes will be judged up-to and including 168 centimetres, 171cm, 175cm, 180cm and over-180cm.

The men's classic bodybuilding event will have two categories, up-to and including 175cm and over-175cm.

Athletes participating in the men's classic physique will compete in either the up-to and including 168cm, 171cm, 175cm, 180cm or over-180cm.

This year's competition will also feature the first IFBB Men's Physique World Cup, following on from men's physique's first-ever inclusion in the official programme last year. 

The World Cup will consist of seven categories, up-to and including 170cm, 173cm, 176cm, 179cm, 182cm, over-182cm and an open class in muscular men's physique. 

The competition culminates in the Elite Pro World Championships, where professional athletes compete for cash prizes.
