Scotland's Paul Foster and Alex Marshall will face England's Greg Harlow and Nick Brett in the pairs final at the World Indoor Bowls Championships after both duos came through their penultimate-round encounters today in Norfolk.

Foster and Marshall beat compatriots Colin Walker and Ronnie Duncan 2-9, 8-4, 2-1 in the first semi-final at Potters Resort.

Later in the day, Harlow and Brett defeated fellow Englishmen Mark Royal and Andy Thomson 5-3, 7-2.

The final is due to take place next Monday (January 21).

Foster is among those competing in the first round of the singles competition tomorrow.

He goes up against Wales’ Damian Doubler, while there are also all-English clashes between Jamie Chestney and James Rippey and Les Gillett and Paul Coleman.

Mixed pairs and under-25 competitions are also being held over the course of the 17-day event.

Action is scheduled to conclude on January 27.
