South Korea defeated China at the Asian Football Confederation Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates to top Group C with three wins in three.

Hwang Ui-jo and Kim Min-Jae provided the goals which confirmed South Korea's place at the top of the pile with a 100 per cent record.

Their round-of-16 clash will now be against one of the best third-placed finishers from either Group A, B or F in Dubai next Tuesday (January 22).

Despite losing, China qualified for the knock-out stages in second place and will now play Group A runners-up, Thailand, in Al Ain on Sunday (January 20).

Iran finished top of Group D following a goalless draw against Iraq at the Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai.

Iran will play their round-of-16 fixture against the third place side from either Group B, E or F in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, with runners-up Iraq playing Saudi Arabia or Qatar, depending on which team wins Group E.
