North America are now only five points behind Team World after they dominated today's play at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. 

Team World had monopolised the first day of the competition but North America began their comeback yesterday, securing four wins and a draw.

With the mixed team scramble events worth two points, North America began to reduce the deficit even further, despite a slow start to the day. 

The first draw consisted of three women's team scramble events, with the first ending as a 6-6 draw between Jennifer Jones's North America team and Team World, skipped by Scotland's Eve Muirhead. 

Sweden's Anna Hasselborg then skipped her team to a 6-5 victory against Rachel Homan's North America team, before Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni added another point to Team World's tally by defeating Jamie Sinclair's team.

Next was the men's team scramble, where North America sealed their first win of the day as Kevin Koe's team beat Scotland's Bruce Mouat's Team World 7-3.

Brad Gushue's North America team then drew 4-4 with Niklas Edin of Sweden's team, before Switzerland's Benoit Schwarz skipped his team to a 6-2 victory against John Shuster's team. 

That evening, the mixed team scramble saw Team Gushue beat Team Mouat 7-3 and Team Homan defeat Team Hasselborg 7-4, before Team Shuster ensured a North America clean sweep by securing a 6-4 win over Team Schwarz.

“It’s anybody’s match now,” said Gushue.

“There’s 30 (points) on the line tomorrow. 

"It was a fun night to play. 

"Everybody had a lot of energy, and once the scores started turning in our favour, I think it even raised the energy.”

The competition will continue tomorrow with the skins event, where 30 points are available from six games.

Team World are looking to get their seventh consecutive win at the competition.
