Belarus did gain one medal as the 2017 80kg world silver medallist Radzik Kuliyeu beat Italy's Fabio Parisi in the other medal match 3-2.

On the last day of action at the Olimpiai Sportpark, the heavyweight 130kg gold went to Estonia's Heiki Nabi.

The two-time world champion and 2012 Olympic silver medallist beat another Belarusian, Georgi Chugoshvili, in a low scoring final 2-0.

In the bronze medal matches Croatia's Marko Koscevic surpassed Romania's Alin Alexuc Ciurariu in the first 2-1, before Hungary gained another medal through Balint Lam who beat Ukraine's Mykola Kuchmii having been the last to score in a 1-1 draw.

Three other finals also went ahead at 77kg, 67kg and 60kg.

At 77kg Serbia's 2017 world champion Viktor Nemes saw off another Ukrainian, Dmytro Pyshkov, 2-1 as the bronze medals went to Ukraine and South Korea through Volodymyr Yakovliev and Hyeonwoo Kim.

South Korea won both finals at 67kg and 60kg.

In the heavier final the 2018 Asian Games champion Hansu Ryu won the highest scoring gold medal match of the day 8-1 against Ukraine's Ruslan Kudrynets

In the bronze medal bouts an all-Japanese match was won by Tsuchika Shimoyamada, who beat Shogo Takahashi, while in the other Serbia's Mate Nemes saw off Soslan Daurov from Belarus.

At 60kg Seunghak Kim won the final in a walkover as Firuz Tukhtaev from Uzbekistan chose not to compete.

The bronze medals there were won by Croatia's Ivan Lizatovic and Iran's Shirzad Ali Beheshtitala.
