Today's scheduled dual events were cancelled due to bad weather as the 2018-2019 International Ski Federation (FIS) Moguls World Cup season reached its conclusion at Shymbulak Mountain Resort in Kazakhstan.

With the conditions far from optimal, organisers initially took the decision to cancel men's and women's qualification and move straight into the finals.

But it was not long before the whole competition was called off with no signs of improvement.

The overall men's FIS Moguls World Cup winner was Canada's Mikaël Kingsbury, while France's Perrine Laffont came out on top in the women's standings.

Kingsbury finished on 825 points with Japan’s Ikuma Horishima second on 517 and France's Benjamin Cavet third on 470.

Laffont ended on 780 points for a winning margin of 210 over nearest challenger Jaelin Kauf of the United States.

Australia's Jakara Anthony was a further 25 points back in third.

Sweden’s Oskar Elofsson was the men’s rookie of the year after ranking 11th in the final standings.

The equivalent women's accolade went to Russia's Anastasiia Smirnova following her 16th-place finish.

Canada took the Nations Cup title.
