The Rio 2016 Olympic gold medallists managed sixth, fourth and second-place finishes at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy.

It moves them on to 41 points and gives them a seven-point advantage over Spain’s Diego Botín le Chever and Iago López Marra, who ranked eighth, 12th and sixth today.

A further five points back in third spot are Great Britain’s Dylan Fletcher and Stuart Bithell after they had one of the best days of anyone with fourth, seventh and first-place finishes.

In the 49erFX, reigning Olympic champions Martine Grael and Kahena Kunze of Brazil continue to hold a healthy lead over world champions Annemiek Bekkering and Annette Duetz of the Netherlands.

The Brazilians put a slight blot on their pristine record with a 12th-place finish in the second of three races today, but the other scores were a fifth and a seventh to leave them on 33 points.

Bekkering and Duetz occupy second place with 47 points, while New Zealand’s Alexandra Maloney and Molly Meech have moved up to third spot with 57 following third, first and 12th-place finishes.

Britain’s Charlotte Dobson and Saskia Tidey have dropped to fourth place on 58 points.

As for the Nacra 17 event, world champions Ruggero Tita and Caterina Banti of Italy have risen from third spot to first after following up a 13th-place finish with back-to-back wins.

Denmark's Lin Cenholt and CP Lübeck remain in second place with 36 points, while overnight leaders John Gimson and Anna Burnet of Britain are down to third with 44 after ranking 23rd, 15th and third today.

At the Finn European Championships in Greece's capital Athens, British Olympic champion Giles Scott is still out in front with 28 points after light winds and then a storm prevented any races from being held today.

He has a 15-point lead over world champion Zsombor Berecz of Hungary, while New Zealand's Andy Maloney is a further seven back in third.
