England’s Jamie Walker and Scotland’s Darren Burnett continued to impress at the World Bowls Atlantic Championships in Cardiff.

Walker, featuring in the first section of the men’s singles competition, secured a 21-10 win over the Isle of Man’s Mark McGreal in Wales’ capital city.

He then earned wins over France’s Amaury Dumont and Jamaica’s Mervyn Edwards.

The results keep Walker at the top of the section standings on 15 points, followed by South Africa’s Pierre Breitenbach.

Commonwealth Games champion Burnett heads the second section on 12 points, after winning both his matches today.

Wales’ Ben Thomas, Ross Owen, Stephen Harris and Jon Tomlinson lead section one in the men’s fours.

Ireland’s Aaron Tennant, Neil Mulholland, Andy Kyle and Mark Wilson top the section two standings.

Welsh duo Sarah-Marie Nicholls and Ysie White are leading the women’s pairs section one, while England’s Rebecca Wigfield and Natalie Chestney head section two.
