The International Ski Federation (FIS) Calendar Conference in 2021 has been awarded to Portorož in Slovenia, it has been announced.

It is the fifth time that the Slovenian Ski Association will host the FIS meetings at the Istrian sea destination.

More than 800 delegates are expected to come together for the week-long gathering in the first week of June at the Grand Hotel Bernadin for meetings of all main Technical Committees.

With renovations taking place there and at the neighbouring Hotel Histrion, the FIS Family will be able to enjoy a refreshed experience of both spaces in 2021, officials have promised, as they discuss preparations for the 2021-2022 season which will climax at the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.

This year's FIS Calendar Conference took place at Cavtat-Dubrovnik in Croatia.
