Defending champions Great Britain made it two wins out of two in Group B after beating Poland at the International Wheelchair Rugby Federation European Championship Division A in Vejle.

The seven-time champions, bidding for a third-straight gold medal at the biennial event, prevailed 56-21 to successfully follow up their victory against Switzerland at DGI Huset Vejle yesterday.

Their place in the semi-finals was secured later in the day after hosts Denmark edged Switzerland 50-47.

Both Britain and Denmark have 100 per cent records and are due to face each other in a Group B decider tomorrow.

Poland and Switzerland have both been eliminated from the race for top honours and can finish no higher than fifth place.

France and Sweden have also progressed through to the semi-finals from Group A after continuing their perfect starts.

The French defeated The Netherlands 62-32, while the Swedes overcame Germany 54-51.

The winner of Group A will be determined tomorrow when France are set to go up against Sweden.

The semi-finals are due to take place on Saturday (August 10), with the winner of Group A playing the runner-up in Group B and vice versa.

The tournament's finalists will qualify for next year's Paralympic Games in Tokyo, while the third and fourth-place nations will be invited to the final qualification event, scheduled to be held early next year.
