Organisers of next year's Winter Youth Olympic Games have taken feedback gathered during this week's Chef de Mission seminar on board and will provide the best conditions for athletes at the event, according to Lausanne 2020 President Virginie Faivre.

Representatives from 75 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) hoping to compete at the Games in January attended the seminar, held yesterday and today.

It involved two days of meetings and a tour of the facilities which will be used during the event.

Those in attendance also asked questions of the Lausanne 2020 Organising Committee and were given the chance to meet the heads of each competition site, as well as venue management and sport teams.

The seminar marked the last opportunity for NOC representatives to inspect preparations for the Winter Youth Olympic Games before the start of the event on January 9.

"Welcoming the Olympic family in Lausanne this week has been an amazing experience, one which will repeat itself in just a few months," said Faivre.

"Our discussions with the NOC representatives present were very positive.

"We’ve taken all of their great feedback into account and will continue working hard to welcome them back under the best conditions in January."

Lausanne 2020 chief executive Ian Logan promised organisers would achieve our goals and host an incredible event.

"The enthusiasm the NOCs have shown us is truly the greatest reward and motivation for our teams in the Organising Committee as well as our partners," he said.
