Three separate International Fencing Federation (FIE) World Cups are set to begin tomorrow, with two in Europe and another in Africa.

Swiss city Bern will play host to a FIE Men's Épée World Cup at Sporthalle Wankdorf, while Orléans in France will stage a FIE Women's Sabre World Cup at Palais des Sports and the Egyptian capital's Cairo Stadium Indoor Halls Complex will provide the setting for a FIE Women's Foil World Cup.

All three events will be spread across three days.

Individual competition will be held tomorrow and Saturday (November 23).

Team competition then takes centre stage on Sunday (November 24).

The top seed for the FIE Men's Épée World Cup is Japan's Kazuyasu Minobe, an individual bronze medallist at the 2015 and 2016 Asian Championships.

Italy's Andrea Santarelli, a 2019 world bronze medallist, is the second seed.

The fencer to beat at the FIE Women’s Sabre World Cup is four-time and reigning world champion Olga Kharlan of Ukraine, while reigning Olympic and world champion Inna Deriglazova of Russia is the top-ranked entrant at the FIE Women's Foil World Cup.
