The Chinese trio of Wu Jingyu, Luo Zongshi and Zheng Shuyin have reached the finals of the women's under-49 kilograms, women's under-57kg and women's over-67kg categories at the Russian capital's Dynamo Sports Palace.

Standing between two-time Olympic champion Wu and glory is Serbia's Tijana Bogdanović, while Luo will face Turkey's Hatice Kübra İlgün and Rio 2016 Olympic gold medallist Zheng will meet Serbia's Milica Mandić.

The one other women's final, in the under-67kg division, is due to pit Croatia's Matea Jelić against Ivory Coast’s Ruth Gbagbi.

All three of South Korea's finalists are male.

World champion Jang Jun is scheduled to go up against Italy's Vito Dell'Aquila at under-58kg, while three-time world champion Lee Dae-hoon's opponent at under-68kg will be Great Britain's Bradly Sinden and In Kyo-don's opponent at over-80kg will be Iran's Sajjad Mardani.

The men's under-80kg final will see Russia’s Maksim Khramtcov do battle with Azerbaijan’s Milad Beigi Harchegani.

Bronze-medal matches are also due to be held tomorrow.

The World Taekwondo Grand Prix Final provides the last opportunity for vital ranking points prior to next year's Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Taekwondo first became a full Olympic medal sport at Sydney 2000.
