The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) released the spirit of the games scores by country following four years of world and continental events.

The list aggregates the scores received by countries attending WFDF ultimate and beach ultimate world and continental championship events since 2016.

Spirit of the game is the mindful behavior practiced by players in a mutual effort to self-referee flying disc, with a uniform scoring system developed and used at WFDF events.

Immediately after a game, players are encouraged to consider the spirit of other team, as well as their own, giving scores from zero to four in five categories.

A score of two is considered a good score and a maximum of four is awarded for exceptional spirit.

Scores are shared with the other team, so that each may improve throughout the event and afterwards.

Sixty-three countries were scored in total, with Indonesia scoring the highest total of 13.00.

"People joke about 'winning' spirit, but the truth is that Spirit of the Game is never ‘winner-take-all'," said Travis F. Smith, WFDF Spirit of the Game Gommittee chair.

"We hope that by gathering, studying and sharing this detailed data about spirit performance, we can help our members and their athletes to assess and improve their spirit of the game."

Countries are encouraged to use this information to identify areas of success and areas on which to improve.
