India won all three fencing team events today as action continued at the South Asian Games in Nepal.

In the men's sabre, the country triumphed ahead of Bangladesh with Sri Lanka and Nepal taking the bronze medals at Covered Hall in Kathmandu.

There was also success for India in the men's épée and women's foil.

They beat Bangladesh in the men's épée final and Nepal in the women's foil gold medal match.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka were the men's épée bronze medallists, while the women's foil bronze medals went to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Another sport in which India tasted victory today was shooting, winning both the individual and team events in men's 10 metres air pistol.

Shravan Kumar was the individual gold medallist, with a Pakistani athlete second ahead of India's Ravinder Singh.

Kumar and Singh were joined on the triumphant team by Sumit Raman, and the podium was rounded off by Bangladesh and Pakistan.

India are well clear at the top of the latest overall medal standings on 119 golds, 72 silvers and 38 bronzes.

Nepal are second with 45 golds, 42 silvers and 71 bronzes, while Sri Lanka are third with 32 golds, 61 silvers and 90 bronzes.
