Home favourite Maren Lundby came out on top again today to make it back-to-back wins at the season-opening event on the International Ski Federation (FIS) Women's Ski Jumping World Cup tour in Lillehammer.

The reigning Olympic champion finished on a total of 267.1 points at the Norwegian town's Lysgårdsbakkene Ski Jumping Arena.

She was followed in the standings by Austria's Chiara Hoelzl, yesterday's third-place finisher, with 251.8 points.

Rounding off the podium was Japan's Sara Takanashi with 251.5 points.

Austria's Eva Pinkelnig, yesterday's runner-up, had to settle for fifth place behind Slovenia's Ema Klinec.

Lundby tops the overall standings with 200 points, followed by Hoelzl with 140 and Pinkelnig with 125.

The next leg of the FIS Women's Ski Jumping World Cup is due to take place in Klingenthal in Germany on Friday and Saturday (December 13 and 14).

It will be a joint event with the men, whose competition will conclude next Sunday (December 15).
