Jarl Magnus Riiber returned to the top of the International Ski Federation Nordic Combined World Cup podium in Ramsau am Dachstein.

The Norwegian had won all five World Cup events before this weekend, but lost yesterday's competition to Vinzenz Geiger of Germany. 

Today Riiber recovered to chalk up another victory, scoring 126.0 points in the HS98 ski jump and finishing the 10 kilometres race in 23min 45.9sec.

Geiger remained on the podium but in third place, with a jump score of 113.8 and a time of 23:50.0.

Norwegian Sochi 2014 Olympic champion Jørgen Graabak finished between the two in 23:48.7, having accumulated 114.9 points in the ski jump.

Riiber's victory kept his hold on the World Cup standings with 680 points, with Graabak second on 451. 

Geiger is in third place on 402 points.

The World Cup season is due to continue in the Italian resort of Val di Fiemme from January 9 to 12.
