Chengdu 2021 Summer World University Games mascot Rongbao greeted construction workers at the Dong'an Lake Sports Park with a Chinese New Year's message.

Three red helicopters adorned with the Chengdu 2021 mascot and logo visited the Sports Park construction site, with Rongbao emerging from one to greet the workers.

He gave the workers a bag of gifts each, including the newly launched Chengdu 2021 themed scratch lottery tickets.

There are six types of lottery ticket, with each one showing off Chengdu's expertise in either culture, tourism, sports, food, music or exhibitions.

A maximum of 100,000 Chinese Yuan (£11,000/$14,000/€13,000) can be won.

"I hope everyone can enjoy this happiness during the World University Games".

Rongbao's visit fell during Chinese New Year celebrations, with workers staying on site to ensure the construction work is ready on time.
