The US Nordic Olympic Women (US NOW) came together for their second reunion virtually due to restrictions put in place by Governments due to COVID-19.

Group members Kikkan Randall, Alison Bradley and Sue Wemyss organised the meeting making it their second annual gathering after the group was established last year.

It features the 53 women who have represented the United States in cross-country skiing at the Winter Olympics, dating back to the first time in 1972.

Of those 53, 23 were present for the meeting which was conducted over video-conference app Zoom.

Last year's meeting occurred at the Quebec City World Cup event with this year's meeting set for the World Cup leg in Minneapolis.

The meeting was led by US NOW President Kikkan Randall and started with each woman introducing themselves and sharing information such as the Olympic years they competed in and where they currently stay and work.

This year's conference also saw the introduction of the Gold Rush Award, presented to two co-winners this year.

The award was previously known as the Inga Award and was presented to Rosie Brennan in 2019, who came back from mononucleosis to achieve her top international race result to date.

Current US Ski Team members Sadie Maubet Bjornsen and Sophie Caldwell were awarded it this year due to the current challenges they have had to deal with during the COVID-19 crisis.

Both received a watercolour of women's cross-country skiing by Alaskan artist Andy Rogers.
